The Newport Beach Sailing School was awarded the Outstanding Sailing School of the Year for 2008 by the American Sailing Association (ASA).

How does a sailing school get this award?
After a student takes a sailing class from an ASA sailing school, ASA sends an evaluation form directly to the student.  The student fills out the evaluation form online and sends it back to ASA.  The form does not go to the school and the managers of the school never see the evaluation forms.

Tell me about the Sailing Instructor Award?
The Newport Beach Sailing School’s chief sailing instructor, Captain Roger Philips was award the Outstanding Sailing Instructor of the Year for 2008 by the American Sailing Association.  Captain Roger is a United States Coast Guard Licensed Captain and ASA Sailing Instructor.
