ASA 104: Bareboat Charter Certification

Course Objective
After these 2 days and 2 nights of on-the-water training, you should be able to captain your boat safely to the front side of Catalina Island in heavier winds less than 20 knots. Now you should have the skills to cross a channel. This course is the practical portion of the ASA 105 Coastal Navigation.

- Picking up a mooring
- Gennaker training
- Dinghy training
- Cooking onboard
- Detailed understanding of Yanmar diesel engine
- Heavy weather night sailing, weather permitting

We will arrange a private course that works with your schedule.” Course is for 3 days in a row. We will leave for Catalina on the first day and return on the third day, spending 2 nights on the boat.
